PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The School Social Worker Intern works under the direction of a Certified School Social Worker to become familiar with the duties and responsibilities of the School Social Worker and to fulfill the requirements of ISBE.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Special Education certified and non-certified personnel with an emphasis on School Psychologists.

QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
This position requires that the candidate have coursework in education as determined by an M.S.W. program or post M.S.W. program from an accredited university.
Certification: State of Illinois certification Type 73 School Services Personnel with Supervisory Endorsement - OR Illinois State Board of Education administrative certificate Type 75.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Moderate in-district travel as well as intermittent in-state and out-of-state travel. Intermittent prolonged and irregular hours of work.
